Rhodes Scholarship Worth:

A Rhodes Scholarship covers All University and College fees; the University application fee; a living stipend (£15,144 per annum); one economy class airfare to Oxford at the beginning of the scholarship and one economy flight back to the student’s home country at the conclusion of the scholarship.

Rhodes Selection Criteria: Rhodes Selection Committees are trying to find young persons of outstanding intellect, character, leadership, and commitment to service from 20 Rhodes constituencies (64 countries) worldwide.

The four criteria governing the choice of Rhodes Scholars are:

Literary and scholastic attainments (academic excellence) energy to use one’s talents to the complete (as demonstrated by mastery in areas like sports, music, debate, dance, theatre, and artistic pursuits, particularly where teamwork is involved) truth courage, devotion to duty, sympathy for and protection of the weak, kindliness, unselfishness and fellowship moralforce of character and instincts to steer , and to require an interest in one’s fellow beings.

Who Can Apply? the subsequent eligibility criteria apply to all or any applicants for the Rhodes Scholarships:

Citizenship & residency: Applicants must be from one among the countries mentioned above.

Age: you want to have reached your 18th birthday and not have passed your 24th birthday on 1 October within the year of application. there's some variation on the upper regulation across constituencies counting on the local environment. The Scholarship might not be deferred.

Number of scholarships: Up to 95

Rhodes Postgraduate Scholarship Duration: Rhodes Scholars may study for any full-time postgraduate degree (including the BA with seniority over two years) at the University of Oxford.

At the discretion of the Trustees, the Scholarship could also be extended for a 3rd year for those that take a recognized route to the DPhil. The Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and therefore the Masters of monetary Economics (MFE) are only tenable within the second year of the Scholarship.

The basic tenure of the Scholarship is 2 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance and private conduct.
