The popular University Of Benin students in the early hours of today block the ugbowo federal road in a bid to voice out their displeasure over the sudden addition of Twenty thousand naira to their school fees.
The increment came into effect on Monday the 13th of September 2021 which came as a surprise to many of the students.
According to some of these students, the school management shouldn't have added the extra twenty thousand naira to the school fees as the economic situation of Nigeria is not favorable to a lot of people especially to most parents of the students who do not have a big collar job.
Everyone is appealing to the current Vice-Chancellor of the University Lilian Imuetinyan Salami to please reconsider her stance on the extra twenty thousand naira been added as a penalty for late school fees payment.
