A Nigerian professor from the South-East region becomes a Vice Chancellor of a University in UK

No matter how battered Nigeria's image must have been before the global world, due to some criminal elements who have been indulging in internet frauds, and other criminal activities, others are making sure the Nigerian flag keeps flying on a positive note before the rest of world.

One of those who are constantly making Nigeria proud in overseas is Prof Charles Egbu, who was just appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University, UK.

The Anambra-born academician is set to resume his new assignment on November 1, 2020, following the outgoing VC, Prof Margaret A House, who reportedly spent seven years as the University boss

Egbu who spent his early academic life in the city of Leeds, expressed his joy over his new appointment. He stressed further that it is indeed a great honor for him to be appointed to head such a great Institution whose values and ethos around widening participation,offering a personalized approach and encouraging all students to achieve their best.

Finally, he stated that the University has track record in learning, teaching and employability, and he is looking forward to building on the strong foundations that was established under the leadership of Professor House.
