The Federal Ministry of education has issued a circular to all the principals of federal unity schools. The circular places a ban on all students in Senior Secondary School one (1) and two (2) from applying to write external examinations like West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), the National Examination Council (NECO) and National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).
Again, the circular which was signed by the ministry’s Director of Senior Secondary Education, Hajia Binta Abdulkadir was confirmed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Ben Bem Goong.

However, the education ministry holds the view that this would help in maintaining decorum and to equally boost the standards of education in schools. This is so because according to them, students who engage in these practices have serious difficulties with placing focus on their studies. It further noted that any student caught wanting in this regard would be expelled from college.
