Professor Nnenna Oti is a Nigerian professor born on 15th November 1958 in Ebonyi state. She is a professor of Soil Science and Environmental Conservation at Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO). She earned her Bachelor and Masters degree in Soil Science from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She obtained her Postgraduate diploma in Irrigation Engineering from Katholic University, Belgium. She proceeded to FUTO where she obtained a Doctorate degree in Soil and Environmental Conservation.
She was recently appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Owerri (FUTO) making her the first female and eight (8th) Vice chancellor of the institution. Before her appointment as Vice Chancellor, she was the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Academics. She has also served in different offices within the institution. She was once the Head of Department of Soil Science and Technology. She also served as the Dean of Postgraduate School for two (2) different tenures.
Professor Oti has worked in various public and private organizations including Anambra Imo River Basin Development Authority, National Biotechnology Development Agency and so on. She has also won many awards and nominations. She is married with 3 children.
