The Honourable Chairman of Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Alhaji Abubakar Buba has narrated to students why he refused to collect bank loans to meet up with some financial administrative needs.
Speaking at an interactive session with Students of Lere Local Government Area, Kaduna State University (KASU) Chapter within the University premises on Tuesday, the Chairman said; "It will make no sense to accumulate or begin the culture of accumulating so much for you the future of our Local Government to come later and inherit".
The chairman went further to break down government expenses for the sake of transparency. Making it clear that Teachers take away as much as 148 million naira, L.G Staff takes away 31 million naira, the health sector with 17 million naira and pension with 9 million naira. Stating that teachers have that much ahead others because the passage of quality education is just as important for students who are the future.
