Meet Prof. Charles Egbu A Nigerian Professor Newly Appointed As VC in a UK University

A Nigerian Professor, Charles Egbu, has been designated Vice-Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University

As per an announcement on the UK Varsity site, he will take over from Margaret House, who will step down following seven years. 

Mr Egbu will come back to Leeds, a city wherein he studied and taught, to start his new job on November 1, 2020. 

Responding to his arrangement, Mr Egbu was cited as saying: "I am regarded to join Leeds Trinity; a University who's qualities and ethos around broadening interest, offering a customized approach and urging all students to accomplish their best, line up with my own. The University has an amazing reputation in picking up, instructing and employability, and I am anticipating expanding on the solid establishments set up under the administration of Professor House. 

"I have just been intrigued by the feeling of community at Leeds Trinity and I am anticipating engaging with students, partners and graduated class as we shape the future system of the organization. I am likewise anticipating coming back to Leeds; the city where I spent quite a bit of my initial scholastic life." 

With over 25 years' involvement with advanced education, he was already Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and had an Experience at the University of East London.
