One thing on the front burner of the discourse of our dear nation on a daily basis is the issue of the resumption of students back to their normal schedules, and if not at least students in their terminal classes are expected to resume.
This point was further buttressed by the federal government, when it told states who were ready for resumption to do so, most especially with classes like primary six, SSS 3 and tertiary institution final year students.
However, this seeming progress suffered a huge setback last week, when the honorable minister of education Mallam Adamu said the country will not participate in the wassce expected to start by the fourth day of next month.
Although, this was vehemently rejected by men of the national assembly, saying students cannot continue remaining at home in perpetuity while the minister cited safety reasons for his own stand.
However, in the course of this Eight states have indicated interest in resumption , despite the state of the federal government as regards the issue and they include :
Osun, ondo, oyo, ekiti, Lagos, ogun states, all are southwest states and they indicated their readiness in a statement by Development agenda for western Nigeria managing director seye oyeleye
and you'll recollect that students in oyo state have resumed already since the beginning of this week.
We also have cross rivers and Ebonyi state on the list, they showed theirs by vigorous preparation for resumption, and if you could recollect cross rivers almost resumed few weeks ago if not for the intervention of the federal government.
What's your thought about this, share them in the comment area and feel free to share.
