See What Atiku Has To Say Concerning FG's Plan to Reopen Schools By 5th of September

After the wake of the covid-19 virus the Federal government took a proactive measure to reduce tge spread by ordering a total lockdown on the economy which affected many sectors including the educational sector. Although of recent the Government has decided to gradually ease the lockdown which brought about the reopening of several sectors like the market, shops and even churches. But the educational system is still to be swung open and in recent developement there has been a tussle between the the Federal ministry of Education and the law makers as to the reopening of schools. The Education minister thought it wise that Nigeria should allow an educational year go by in other to protect students but the law makers seem to disagree.

In recent event the Federal ministry of education has now liaised with WAEC and slated September 5th for the opening of schools. And this has sparked up reactions of which the former Vice president amd Presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar has this to say. 

Atiku said he is elated at the decision taken by the government to reopen learning institutions which have been under closure since the covid-19 upsurge as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Reacting to the new development, Atiku tweeted via his official twitter handle, “I am elated at reports that @NigeriaGov and WAEC have resolved to shift the date of examinations to September 5, 2020.”
