Covid-19 has stopped all sector of economy in almost all country of the world, it must be noted that all schools have been shut down since March when Nigeria recorded it first case of Covid-19.
It was reported earlier that school may reopen in August for students in terminal classes such as jss 3 and sss 3 to write their WAEC and NECO as the case maybe. But the minister for state education met with president to discuss disadvantages of reopening our schools for students by August 3.
There is plan to meet the exam board and other African countries participating in the exam to discuss when the exam should be written.
ASUU has now thrown their weight in support of the ministry of education not to reopen school anytime soon, they even advised federal government to shut down schools till 2021 citing Kenya as a case study, they noted that Kenya has declared not reopen their schools till 2021, they now asked Nigeria government to do the same.
