Meet the only King in Nigeria who is a secondary school teacher

This is an inspiring story that may have continued to go unnoticed in a country where the leaders and elites are completely cut off from the people they lead.

This is not the case with His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedokun Omoniyi Abolarin, The Orangun of Oke-Ila who has continued to use his good office and personal wealth to educate his people.

Oba Abolarin who was a mathematics teacher before his ascendancy to the thrones of his fore fathers is also the founder of The Abolarin College.

The school established through the Oragun Abolarin Aroyinkeye Foundation is a boarding house school where all students are on full scholarship.

The school set up to fight poverty through education is strictly for indigenes of Oke Ila in Osun State who are finding it difficult to go to school due to poverty.

Oba Abolarin who holds three degrees in Law, Political Science and a Master Degree in International Relations, all from Obafemi Awolowo University chose education as a means to fight poverty and develop the community.

To crown it all, His Royal Majesty is also a classroom teacher in the school where he teaches government.

According to gists, the Kabiyesi knows the name of each student off hands as he interacts with them like his own kids in his quest go motivate and build their confidence.

In a serene athmosphere capable of matching the best in the world, all the students have a laptop to themselves for ease of learning with free meal, hostel, free internet access, and round the clock power supply guaranteed.
