ECWA owned Bingham University has inducted 54 doctors into the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
The event held recently at the university's Teaching Hospital Chapel.
The university's Board of Trustees Chairman, Rev. Stephen Baba Panya, other distinguished guests, parents, and well-wishers were in attendance.
While administering the Oath, the Registrar, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) represented by the Deputy Registrar, Dr. Victor Gbenro charged the inductees to uphold the ethics of medical practice at all times.
He also commended the University for growing and providing quality medical training.
Air Commodore (Dr) Joseph I. Ogbodo, who was the Medical Elder for the event, advised the doctors to practice within the confines of medical ethics and laws in the country of residence.
He encouraged them to seek mentors as well as pay proper attention to their health at all times.
Highlights of the occasion were the announcement of awards of distinction in various specialties.
Dr. Paul David Chidera was recognized as the winner of Prof. Alhassan Yakubu’s prize for the overall best-graduating student. He was recognized to have had distinctions in Anatomy, Chemistry, Physiology, Paediatrics, Community Medicine and Primary Health Care and Surgery.
