Arigbabu Urged Learners To Maintain The State's Enviable Heights In Educational Development

The formulation of efficient educational policies and implementation of programs are geared towards ensuring that learners in Ogun State stand out among their peers across the Nation.

Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu stated this in Abeokuta while receiving the state representatives at the national President inter secondary schools debate championship.

He commended the participants for making the state proud. The Commissioner stated that the state is blessed with brilliant people who had written their names on the marble of gold across the globe, reiterating that the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration will continue to prioritize that positively affect students.

He appealed to learners at all levels to reciprocate the gesture of the government by been punctual at school, attentive in the classroom and put in their best to retain the enviable height of the state.

Celebrating the winners, the permanent secretary in the ministry, Mrs Abosede Ogunleye said their outstanding performance was due to unrelenting efforts of the state government, patriotic teaching and commitment of the parents of the learners, urging other stakeholders to support the present administration in the agenda of free efficient and effective education.

Earlier in her remarks, the director of education, Primary department, Mrs Adesola Onayiga lauded government efforts in providing condusive and equal platform for students to exhibit their potentials which she noted have paved the way healthy competition among brhe schools.

Speaking on behalf of other participants, students of African Church Grammar School, Ita-Eko, Abeokuta and Luis ville girls high school, Itele Ijebu, Abraham Jones and Derby Boluwatife appreciated the ministry for the honour , promising to put in more fruitful efforts in winning more medals for the state.
