NOTE: N-Power applicants be aware of this fake news.

Recall that N-Power is a youth empowerment scheme sponsored by the Federal Government of Nigeria. N-Power also addresses the challenge of youth unemployment by providing a structure for large-scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development while linking its core and outcomes to fixing inadequate public services and stimulating a larger economy as a whole.

But recently the government has warned the general public of a potential fake news and rumors.

N-Power has alerted Nigerians over a fake product call N-Power Moni.

N-power scheme, one of the Federal Government initiatives under Social investment programmes urged citizens to disregard any news or links on N-Power Moni in a tweet stress that all information spreading across social media and blogs on N-Power Moni is false.

“Dear N-Power Beneficiaries, Please disregard news about a product called N-Power Moni. This is NOT from the Federal Government or the National Social Investment Programme Office.

“Any news or links NOT shared by our verified social media handles should be deemed as FALSE.”

N-Power is job employment and empowerment scheme for unemployed Nigerian graduates under the National Social Investment Programmes (N-SIPs).

The programme has provided jobs for 500, 000 young Nigerian graduates in the last two years.

The Federal Government is expected to train 10 million graduates in Nigeria under the N-Power programme by 2023.

To be recruited in the programme, there are some requirements to be meet;

i) NPower is only open to people who are between 18 and 35 years.

ii) Candidates who wish to register for NPower are expected to have a sincere interest in the field of activity they are bracing up for.

iii) Graduates who wish to join the programme must be a holder of the following educational qualifications from National Universities Commission (NUC) accredited educational institution — a Higher National Diploma (HND), an Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE), and Bachelor’s degree.

iv) Successful passing of tests

v) Willingness to push one’s self out of one’s comfort zone.

vi) Enthusiasm and ability to exhibit a flair to make the most of all the skills you need to be the best you can be.

The programme features the following packages:

N-Power Agro Volunteers provides advisory services to farmers across the country.

N-Power Health Volunteers helps to improve and promote preventive healthcare in their communities to vulnerable members of the society including pregnant women and children and to families and individuals.

N-Power Teach Volunteers helps to improve basic education delivery in Nigeria.

N-Power Creative

N-Power Tech

And N-Power Building.
