The West African Examination Council has officially released the examination results for the 2020 examinations that was conducted few months ago. The head of the council however announced that about 215,149 results were being withheld by the council due to connections with certain examinations malpractice.
Recall that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria was conducted after the first wave of the COVID'19 pandemic which kept a lot of students at home. Of course, many have already predicted that we might experience a case of examination malpractice due to the effect of the lockdown.
The number presented by the West African Examination Council accounts for over 13% of the total number of those who wrote the examinations. They further announced that there some errors with some of the results and they are working hard to make sure that they finish up with the results.
He announced that about 86% of those who sat for exams made five credits in the examinations with or without English Language and Mathematics. Fill analysis could be gotten from Punch Newspaper.
