Ogun ASUSS Berates Teachers Mass Transfer, Appeals For Calm Among Affected Teachers

Sequel to the ungoing mass transfer going on in the state, the State chairman of Academic Staff Union of secondary Schools in Ogun State has described the Statewide transfer among the teaching staff of the state public Primary and Secondary Schools as a Tsunami going by the way and manner the transfer was conducted across the 20 local government area of the State.

According to a statement credited to the State chairman of the Union, Comrade Akeem Lasisi, stated that it is a known fact that no Public servant including Teachers should reject posting to any station or schools in the state, stating that ASUSS as a body in any way is not against the transfer to any school saying that special consideration should be given to the place of residence of the Teachers, accessibility of the Teachers to the Schools, marital status of the Teachers, including the geographical locations of such schools. This he said can only be Achieved by involving the zonal secretaries who are closer to the School and Teachers

Lasisi therefore appeals and urge the affected Teachers that were posted outside their present local Government to remain calm and go about their duties having faith and trust in the Union to do everything possible to bring the development to a healthier conclusion in the best interest of everyone.
