WASSCE: Stop Playing Politics With The Future of Students, Openfees Tells FG

Openfees is an Abuja based non-governmental organisation, they reacted to the statement made by the federal government that all WASSCE Nigerian students won't be writing 2020 Examination.

Stephanie Ronald who is the coordinator of open made it known that their is no reason why this student's will not write their exams even thou in this pandemic periods the governments still want to managed to conduct elections in some states, he said the government should not try to play politics on this students, he added.

These reports were released yesterday (Sunday) where the group titled it “WASSCE: If You Can Hold Elections, Students Can Take Exams –OpenFees Tells FG”.

The group also added that they can make proper hygiene and social distance rules for the students, particularly, our concerns is the JSS 3 and SS 3 students who are in public schools who may not really know the significant of learning due to inability to have access to online platform and delays them still the following year before they sit for the exam. 

He concluded that if government can try to invest half of their time and resources because of election during this pandemic, then they should they should please provide favourable environment for the students( final year).
