Chapter one of the novel has 10 pages. Below is the summary of chapter one:
Bint, a five-year-old girl was discussing with her two sisters. Her mother stayed outside the door. She heard them giggling. The laughter was caused as a result of Bint's narration of what happened in her classroom.
Bint's mother unnoticeably went into her children's room to check on them. After she entered the room, she sat down between Bint and her immediate elder sister, Jamila.
It was not long after her eldest and only male child, Omar arrived in the room with good news. He had been given admission to study Law at the Kongo Campus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The room was filled with jubilation. However, due to the hot condition, they rushed out of the room and went to sit in the courtyard.
At the yard, Bint demanded a story from her mother. But her mother had no story to hell. So, she asked Omar to explain how he got the admission. Omar narrated everything.
The mother replied to him that the admission was a Life changer.
