Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) has promised to embark on another strike if FG refuses to pay their salaries.
TheUnion, which has previously called off a nine-months strike in January 2021 after reaching an agreement with the federal government pertaining to their unpaid salaries and other demands regarding their welfare.
However, ASUU wrote a letter to the Nigeria Ministry of Education, threatening to embark on a new strike action due to the refusal of the federal government to implement some of the agreement struck by both parties.
Lectures across the nation has been complaining bitterly about how they are yet to be paid their current salaries as well as the outstanding salaries.
This prompted the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, to call for an emergency meeting between both parties.
