In a quest to curb and deal with the dreaded coronavirus and in the spirit of sportsmanship and patriotism, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU)University of Jos Chapter on Wednesday donates Hundreds of hand Sanitisers and hand Bills to the Plateau state government to help fight the deathly coronavirus and enlighten the populace on the danger of coronavirus .
This was done as part of there corporate social responsibility. They association also show there readyness to corporate with the state governments to mass produce hand Sanitisers and avail there expertise were needed in the fight against coronavirus
Receiving the donations on behalf of His Excellency the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong,the SGS and Secretary of the Plateau State Task Force on COVID19 Professor Danladi Atu stated that the State Government will collaborate with the University of Jos in the following areas;
1. Mass production of the Sanitizers
2. Mass production of facemask
3. Education/Enlightenment of the general public.
4. Research for a lasting solution to the Pandemic.
Beneficiaries of the kind gesture by ASUU include:

2. NLC Plateau State branch
3. Christian Association of Nig.
4. REP of the Muslim community
5. Universty of Jos
6. Bingham Teaching Hospital
7. Plateau Express Services Ltd.
