WAEC: No Going Back On Suspension Of WAEC Exams Says Federal Government

The Nigeria government has come out to stand still on is decision to stop the West African Examination Council from holding in Nigeria.

Recall that earlier last week the Federal Government took a decision to stop the writing of WAEC examination in the country due to the rapid increase of Covid19 cases in Nigeria. And the government fear for student and also looking for a better requisite for the resumption of schools which are yet to be meant.

Parents have pleaded in to the Federal government to reverse is decision on the WAEC examination and the resumption of students to there various schools.

The Minister of state for Education Mr Chukwuemeka Nwakiuba confirmed this statement from the Minister of Education Mr Adamu Adamu on Wednesday 15th of July 2020 as he said "We are still standing with the decision not to allow the WAEC examination to take place in the country." Because we are yet to see changes from covid19 cases which it increases on daily basis.

Fast increase of Covid19 in the country has grow wild which may affect the student if they were allowed to resume back to school.
