President Muhammadu Buhari has increase Teachers years of service. The president, while speaking with teachers in Abuja to mark the World Teachers Day however, stress that teachers play a key role in the teaching and learning process and their diligence and dedication to duty deserve accolades from all sphere of government. The president who was represented by the Minister of education, Mr Adamu Adamu acknowledged that, ‘as a government we are aware of the difficulties you undergo in the course of your duty but, I assure you that the government has work out modalities to address issue of enumeration, allowances for personnel deployed in the rural school.’
The minister further mention that, the government have increase teachers years of service from 35 -40 years. He also state that, the federal government teachers housing scheme propose ten thousand unit houses for the primary and secondary school teachers and that plans are underway to improve teachers salary scale.
