Candidates are always required to go through the screening method in their respective schools of choice in order to be considered for admission.
But most of the candidates are however not sure of how they will be screened by their respective schools for admissions.
The purpose of this article is to guide you on the admission screening patterns and methods usually used by schools on screening candidates (UTME/Direct Entry) for admission.
Admission Screening Methods

Now! Let’s take a look at the different patterns or methods used by schools in conducting admission screen exercise for all their candidates.
(1) Online Screening:.........
Some schools will only demand that you upload your UTME and O’level results with all the other require documents online.
This might be all that is demanded for you in order to be screened for admission.
The school admission officers will then need to go through the entire documents and details which you have provided to determine if you are qualified for admission or not!
(2) Physical screening:........
Some schools in other hand, instead for demanding you to upload your documents or any detail online, they will rather ask you to bring your documents physically at the school premises or any other designated venue at a specific date that will be communicated to all the candidates who applied to that institution.
However, for some institutions, even after uploading your every detail online, they will still demand that you come physically to the school for the screening exercise.
All you need to do is to visit that school on the specific date and go through the screening exercise.
The screening comprises mostly of checking your results and relevant documents which are required in order to be sure it is the same with the one you already uploaded.
(3) Aptitude Test/Interview screening:
All Schools have been given the liberty to conducting post-UTME screening for all candidates seeking admission.
Despite the fact that it may not be all the schools that will conduct an aptitude test, some schools will surely use it as a screening method.
Know that your school of choice will indicate if they will screen any candidate using this same method while announcing their screening exercise.
