A trending online video captured the moment the governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Zulum, gave money to an Igbo teacher who has been working with the state teaching service for years, even through the hard times in the state.
Some years ago, Borno State was facing a very high level of insecurity as there were many reports of kidnapping and killing in the state, prompting many people, especially those who were not natives of the state, to relocate for their safety.
However, in a recent online video, the governor of the state was said to have visited a local government school and found out that a woman who is from Abia State is a staff member of the school who has been working with them for a very long time, even during the hardest time when the state was recording high numbers of insecurity cases.
To show appreciation, Prof. Zulum pray to God to reward the woman, thanked her kind gesture of staying to continue with her teaching job and also gifted her an undisclosed sum of money as a gift.
What is your take on this gesture of appreciation by the governor to the Igbo teacher?
