01: The first hospital

The first hospital in Nigeria was commonly called the Sacred Heart Hospital which is located in Abeokuta, Ogun state. This famous hospital was built by the Roman Catholic Mission 1885. The missionaries used the hospital for charity and so many people were treated for free in the hospital

02: The first School

According to reports, The missionaries was unable to communicate with people because of language barrier, so they decided to built the first school to enable the people to learn English other basic things.

The first School in Nigeria was built in 1843 in Badagry which is located in Lagos State and was named the Nursery of Infant Church. Unfortunately, the named of school was later renamed to St.Thomas Anglican nursery and primary school in 1845 by Rev. Golmer of the Church Missionary Society (CMS)
