According to reports, the Nigerian government have reportedly held firm to its decision on the suspension of WAEC examinations in the nation due to the incessant cases of the Coronavirus in the country.
Students all over the country have however urged the Nigerian govt so swiftly sort out a readily solution to the catastrophic situation so as to enable them return to school.
The Honourable Minister for Education Adamu Adamu defended the government's decision on that.
Adamu Adamu however added that the federal government are holding fast to their decision on WAEC suspension so as to mitigate further cases and spread of the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar of the people's democratic party (PDP) and the House of Representatives with the lawmakers have demanded the Nigerian govt to repodiate the decision.
The Nigerian government however however disapproved the recommendation. Stating that for now, "No going back on suspension of the WAEC exam yet"
In my opinion, The Covid 19 cases in Nigeria is rapidly increasing and if the suspension on WAEC exams are lifted, don't you think it will pose a great threat to the Nigerian population?
