Reason been that if the exams were to hold, the chances of the Corona Virus spreading through the student into the general public is high.
Although the Federal House of Representatives has kicked against this decision and is currently urging the federal government to reconsider its decision, the Federal government has decided to meet with certain stakeholders who are parents.
The Minister of Education explained that WAEC is currently reaching out to other west African states to consider a shift in the examination date due to the pandemic. Therefore a specific date for Nigerian students is unknown.
