Federal government gives school owners deadline to meet with guidelines for reopening of schools.

Federal government has instructed all the school owners to meet all the guidelines given for safe reopening of schools before July, 29th, 2020.
This was made known by Minister of state for Education, Emeka Nwajiude on Friday, 17th July.
The minister said through Ministry of Education's Director of Information, Ben Goong, that schools are expected to assess themselves properly and send feedback to the State ministries of Education before July 29. The official date for the reopening of schools will only be announced immediately all the guidelines are met.
He further said that the federal ministry of education discussed deeply with the federal ministry of health, Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) before concluding on the guidelines. He also said that tools that will be used to monitor schools will be put in place later.
Concerning West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), The minister said that they have met with WAEC and agreed to meet with other countries writing the exams for the new date of the examination.
