The governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo who appointed Prof. Ibrahim Umar Musa as a new vice chancellor of Gombe State University during his tenure in 2014, Pro. Ibrahim Umar has carry out a new project in 2017 which is to build a faculty of pharmaceutical science. He observed and noticed that student studying pharmacy are not really comfortable in place of their studies.

His building project was not able to be accomplished successful during his tenure, so he left the work undone. In 2019 Gombe State University got a new vice chancellor a person in name of Aliyu Usman Elnafaty who make the dream of ex-VC Ibrahim Umar to be successful in 2020.

The year 2020 has been a year in which the global cannot be forgotten more especially student in the world and particularly Nigerian Student as a result of Covid19 pandemic starting in March 2020 all schools in Nigeria has been closed. This shows that the students of Gombe State University left school and to be in their various homes for their safety.

In the midst of this global situation, the workers of the project are still performing their duties and they successfully bring the out put of it. It Shock every student of G S U that when ever school reopened they will all become new to the faculty of pharmaceutical science despite of your level.
