Although the Management of the University of Benin has earlier announced that students who refuse to pay their School fees before the stipulated time will be charged an extra fee or may likely have their studentship withdrawn.
According to report gathered the University PRO told the Student Union leaders during a meeting with them "Education is a privilege, not a right. If you can't pay School fees then go and learn handwork."
One thing noticed during the protest is that majority of student protesting had their faces covered inorder to avoid punishment from the management.
As student not joining the protest are advised to stay away from classes today.
