The Government of Kano state urge pupils of public schools to make sure they have National Identification Number so that they can be eligible to register for examinations.
The Commission for Education, Sanusi Saidu-kiru also informed the public that the registration of the National identification number will soon commence so the pupils in public schools should be prepared for the registration process.
In the statement said that this will help the Ministry of Education to update the database of public school pupils for record-keeping and further planning and that it will also help to eradicate examination malpractice.
The Commissioner urged all public school management, principal and and zonal directors to co-operate with the state Government and make sure there is strict adherence to the directive.
He also stated that forms will be distributed to all secondary school for pupils from Junior secondary level upto the senior secondary level to provide their personal information which will be used by the Management of the National identification number Commission.
