Gov Wike Approves The Proposal For Renovation Of Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borokiri

According to reports, the Government comprehensive secondary school, Borokiri has fully resumed for the third term 2019/2020 academic session for the Post Covid 19 School resumption, but were facing the challenges of outdated classrooms and learning desks.

Due to these challenges, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has reportedly approved the remodeling of the Government comprehensive secondary school Borokiri, Port Harcourt Rivers State with immediate effect.

The reports stated that the proposal was submitted to Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike by the President of the Old Boys Association of the School, Dr. Noble Abe at the Government House Port Harcourt.

According to reports, the submitted proposal which has been approved by the Governor contains, Architectural designs, structural outlooks, mechanical details and the bill of quantities.

The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike on receiving the proposal, commended the Old Students for their determination to work with the Government to restore the lost glory of their Alma Mater. He emphasized that the restoration of the school would promote quality education for children in the State.

The Governor further stated that his administration would continue to spend money on projects that would impact the people directly. He commended the President of the Old Boys Association of the school, that he has shown passion with his commitment to see that his former school is being restored.

Governor Wike in his final speech, assured the Old Boys Association that the reconstruction work would begin immediately at the school and directed the State Commissioner for Education to work with the Association to realize the proposal.

The President of the Old Boys Association, Dr. Noble Abe, in his response thanked Governor Nyesom Wike for listening to their cry by approving the submitted proposal. He further pledged the willingness of the Association to work with the Government to realize a total remodeling and renovation of the school.

This is a welcome development to the students of Government Comprehensive Secondary School Borokiri Port Harcourt, it will provide a good learning environment and enhance the quality of education in the school. Thanks to the Rivers State Government.
