The Benue State Government in it bid to provide quality and standard education to the people of the state is set to engage 2,000 fresh teachers into the state teaching service board.
The Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in collaboration with the ministry of education will commence the recruitment of the 2,000 teachers to occupy the vacant position in primary and junior secondary schools across the state.
This was contained in the statement signed by the secretary State univeral Basic Education Board Mr Agbo Ocheckpe on Friday 24 September, 2021.
According to the statement the application portal will be open on Monday 27 September, 2021 to 8 October 2021 without any further extension.
Reacting to the information, the executive chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board Mr Joseph Utse said that the governor Ortom administration is targeted at providing Benue state children with the most quality and standard education.
In his words when he was expecting the ongoing project at the RCM Primary School, Agbaikyor and St. Catherine’s Primary School in Makurdi he said "It is the earnest desire of Governor Samuel Ortom to give the Benue children quality education to enable them have a standard and comprehensive educational foundation. I therefore, commend the governor for always paying the UBEC counterpart funding timely".
The Executive Chairman of the Benue state Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr Joseph further assured that the board will continue to uplift the standard of education in primary schools across the state and government won’t compromise on quality of primary education no matter the circumstance
With the state government’s continuous and unrelenting support, primary education in the state will soon be a shining star to other states across the federation.
The board emphasized that the recruitment is strictly for qualify Benue state origin, with educational background of National Certificate in Education NCE and first degree graduate with background in education.
