Good news for all students seeking admission into tertiary institutions.

Due to the prevailing coronavirus pandemic in the country, the federal government has since suspended school activities as a way to control the spread of the virus. This action, has to a large extent, affected all students, especially those seeking admission into higher institutions of learning.

There seems to be a sign of hope, after the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board released its 2020 admission guideline in Abuja.

According to the guideline released by the Joint Admission And Matriculation Board spokesperson, Dr Benjamin Fabian, the joint admission and matriculation board, directed all tertiary institutions in the country, to begin the first and second choice admission from the 21st of August, which is approximately a month from now. In the guideline, the board spokesperson, Dr Fabian, also warned institutions to desist from the duplication of forms and the selling of forms for admission into some listed programmes.

Dr Benjamin Fabian, also instructed that all admission exercise must be conducted on the central admission processing system, and thereby, urged institutions to advise candidates to apply for programmes through its office.
