WAEC Finally Reaches Conclusion With The Federal Government On New Examination Date (Details)

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has agreed with the Federal Government on the resumption date for the final year students writing the examination this year. The New Date has now been pegged on the 5th of September, instead of the 4th of August.

This announcement was made by Honourable Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, after his meeting with the West African Examination Council and there has been an agreement with the FG on inclusion of the other four countries for ease of examination date.

The minister has also implored and directed all schools to prepare for the resumption of graduating students for their examination, while he said that the deadline is the 29th of July.

He also explained that the Ministry of Education has made this decision in collaboration with the Health Ministry, Nigerian Centre For Disease Control (NCDC), WAEC, and other necessary agencies.

Thus, The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has finally reached a conclusion with the Federal Government on the new resumption date in the country, while the new date scheduled for commencement of examination is the 5th of September, 2020.
