Universities Resume Across Rivers State After Six Months Of Closure Due To The Covid-19 Pandemic

5th of October 2020 marks the resumption of academic activities of Universities across Ri ers State due to the global threat of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The six months closure witnessed across the country came as a result of the directive given by The Federal Government for schools to be shutdown nation wide. In other to curtail the spread of the virus. However schools across Rivers State resumed with adherence to precuitionary mesures as directives were given to returning students, lecturers and staffs on how to go about their business in campus after an internal covid-19 tasks force committee was setup to monitor adherence to covid-19 precuitionary measures of the constant use of hand sanitizer, nose mask and social distancing. Also, the news of the resumption sparked mixed reaction amongs students as some claimed to have used the period of closure to acquire a skill which might now be distrupted as a result of school resumption while some were gladdened by the news as a result of the backwardness it may have caused on academic activities.
