Why Oyo TESCOM pegged minimum CBT score for interview at 50 per cent
The Oyo State Teaching Service Commission has finally announced the cut-off mark for selection of candidates for the interview stage of the recruitment process.
Recall that recruitment into the available positions in teaching and non-teaching jobs in high schools across the state started in February.
The process culminated into the arrangement for conduct of a CBT assessment method to evaluate the applicants in competency.
The results of the CBT however became damning for many of the applicants as paltry 6369 scored above average.
The development generated intense debates with different stakeholders holding different opinions.
But on Wednesday's evening, TESCOM through its official release announced that the cut-off mark for the CBT was 50% and the minimum CBT score for interview stage was also 50%.
The decision, according to information from TESCOM, was in line with what GOV MAKINDE wanted in his vision to drive the recruitment through merit selection.
This, the governor said, would transform Oyo state education system for better outcomes.
So, for the interview that would start on the 21st of September through to 3rd of October, applicants were advised to come along with two copies of :
1. CBT SCORE PRINTOUTS
2. INTERVIEW INVITATION
4. Photocopies of Certificates
Congrats to those qualified.
