Covenant University is one of the best universities in Nigeria with great facilities and professional teachers. The university was founded by the General Overseer of Living Faith Ministry, Bishop David Oyedepo. The institution has graduated many students in different professions. Because of the unrelenting standards of the institution, it has attracted other people and that has made the university one of the best in the country. Bishop David Oyedepo who is the Vice-Chancellor of the institution was present at the 16th convocation ceremony of the university. During his speech at the ceremony, some statements he made touched the heart of the graduating students.
He made the statement without looking at the present state of the students because he want them to learn the basics of life. Most of the statements he said can have an impact on the life of the graduating students and also the undergraduate students. Here are things students can learn from his speech
- Thinking for a solution and stopping thinking for self.
He spoke the mindset of students that they should stop thinking of their personal life and selfish gain. But they should start to think of a solution that will add value and also contribute to the development of the world.
- Thinking about the coming generation and eternity
He emphasized that students should think about the next generation and how to advance the people. Also, they should think about eternity because everything on this earth will one day vanish and melt with great heat and everyone will face the creator.
