In commemoration of the World Teachers’ Day - Tuesday, the Presidency has revealed and celebrated the Teacher Of The Year.
Anani, who is based in Adamawa State won the Maltina Teacher of the Year 2020, and she was part of the members of the Nigerian Breweries Limited, NBL, who visited the Vice President during the World Teachers' Day celebration.
While speaking during the event, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, praised his dedication and commitment to the educational system of the country, unlike many Nigerians that see teaching as their last hope of surviving, thereby working for the money and not for their love of the profession.
The Vice President said, "you have done us proud, as teachers; by your passion and commitment. (Unlike you) many people end up teaching because they have no choice."
Also, he added that everyone is a product of teaching, therefore, teachers are the most important people in society.
He said, "But teaching is the most important because everyone is a product of teaching. We have to find a way to promote that notion."
