Before the ugly incident which occurred on Tuesday October 12, 2021 when a father of a student at Baptist Girls College Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, invaded the school with two other accomplices alongside a brand new cutlass, to teache a male teacher a lesson of his life, which led the school Principal to send a distress call to the police at Kenta divisional Police station in idi-aba, who responded promptly while the three suspects were taken away with the student, several incidents of parents coming down into many of the secondary schools to harras some teachers, had been on the increase but manage to do away with their action.
It is about the time the Education Ministry through its commissioner, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu should rise to the occasion in defending teachers from attacks by parents and the hoodlums who had cultivated the habits of coming to schools in the state at will to threaten and harras teachers.
Also the Baptist Girls College student who brought her father for a revenge mission in the state should either be suspended indefinitely or be expelled from the school in order to teach other students who may still be planning to repeat such actions in the future.
