The CBN to give a grant of N500M to the top 5 institutions with the best entrepreneurial pitches

The Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN) has established the Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Scheme (TIES), in collaboration with polytechnics and universities to harness the potential of graduate entrepreneurs in Nigeria.

The purpose of TIES is to enhance access to finance to these graduates and undergraduates of institutions with innovative entrepreneurial and technological ideas.

The initiative is to tackle the trend of graduates looking for white collar jobs and shift their attention to the creation of jobs.

First place will take N150M; Second place will take N120M; Third place will take N100M; Fourth place will take N80M; And fifth place will get N50M.

Applicants under the scheme shall be graduates of Nigerian polytechnics and universities with their first-degree or its equivalent, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption (not more than 7 years), and certificate of participation issued by the respective institution as evidence.
