In my opinion, I will be giving reason why the 2021 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration date is yet to be announced as at March 2021.
It's no longer news that many 2021 candidates are anxiously waiting for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board to announced the date for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration for the year 2021 as many of them are already getting tired of waiting.
It's no doubt the the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is doing its best to hasten the preparation for the 2021 UTME registration to be announced as soon as possible. The delay of the 2021 JAMB registration date are being caused by many factors like the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing protests.
Reasons for why the 2021 JAMB registration date has not yet been announced will be listed below with details explanation;
1) Due to the Covid-19 pandemic: The Covid-19 pandemic that began in the early month of last year forced major sectors across the globe to a total closure and the education sector wasn't left behind as schools where as closed to protect the lives of students.
The Covid-19 pandemic caused alot of destruction which probably lead to the change of plans in major sectors across the globe, and this may be the reason why the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is yet to announce the date for the 2021 UMTE registration since alot of time was wasted during the period of the lockdown.
2) ASUU Strike and Protests: Another reason why the 2021 JAMB registration date is yet to be announced may be because of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Strike and other protests that were being held, and this is because many universities especially the federal universities across the nation where force to adjust their academic calendar during the period of the strike.
With all this being said, I strongly advise 2021 JAMB candidates to ignore the fact that the registration date is yet to be announced and make use of the time they are being give to prepare for the examination.
