Continuous voter registration is one of the Electoral procecees in a democratic Governance that allows for the registration of citizens who turned 18 years of age after the last registration exercise
For those who for one reason or the other could not Register in the previous exercises, the 2010 Electoral Act as amended mandates the Commission to carry out a continuous voters registration exercise Nationwide and to make available to every Political party within sixty days, after each year the name and the addresses of each person registered during that year.
To allow People of Ogun State to be part of the process most especially students in tertiary institutions, this sensitisation program was then put together by the office of the special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State on Students affairs
The special guest of honor was able to do Justice to the topic while the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State Proffesor Abdul Ganiu Raji urged the Student to make good use of the window of the oppurtunity.
Other stakeholders at the sensitisation program lauded the initiator at the Students constituency for putting up such an idea.
Upon the completion of the exercise, those who registered will have the opportunity of participating in the Democratic process by exercising their franchise.
