Big brother naija has been one of the most interactive reality TV show in Nigeria which consists of some number of housemates battling to win a large sum of money with some added properties.

This year's big brother will premiere on July 19th with Ebuka Obi Uchendu as the host.

The total price to be awarded to the winner is 85 million naira while the winner walks away with 30 million naira cash and 55 million naira worth of properties including a two bedroom apartment, Home appliances, a trip to Dublin/Dubai, Trip to watch the UEFA champions league finale,1year free supply of Pepsi, Munch it.

Why the show was delayed

The show was delayed due to the pandemic on ground and the new housemates have been quarantined but the show will premiere on the 19th of July 2020

why the prize was increased

According to multi choice chairman John Ugbe he said that that they wanted this year's big brother to be a milestone and a special one and that they also want to use it as means of help during the global pandemic.

He said:

"The fifth season of BBNaija marks a major milestone in the reality TV series. We are making this season significant by not only increasing the winnings but by also implementing other creative and innovative ways to ensure the show lives up to the premium entertainment especially during the current pandemic .”

Conclusion

In conclusion the show will premiere with its normal host Ebuka Obi Uchendu and a grand price of 85 million naira will be awarded to the winner.
