Born in Badagry town in Lagos state, Nigeria, Moyo Lawal is a Nollywood actress. She received the "Revelation of the year" award at the 2012 Best of Nollywood Awards.
In Badagry city, Lawal was born and received basic, secondary, and tertiary education in Nigeria.She earned her BSc degree in Creative Arts from Lagos University.
When she was convinced to move into acting by a friend of hers while in school, Lawal started acting in tiny play productions.
The career of Lawal became more pronounced when she was able to secure a film role for herself in an award-winning TV series called Tinsel, where she played the remarkable role of a character named Chinny.
