Meet Ace Popular Actor and Presenter Who Was Once a Special Adviser and a Backup Singer

When one hear the name Sodimu two thing to comes to ones mind, it's either you are thinking of the musician who sang the song "love me jeje" in the late 90's who's called Seyi Sodimu or you think about no one else than the ace actor and versatile broadcaster widely known as Yemi Sodimu, whom we'll be talking about in this article.

Yemi Sodimu who attended the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre Arts, and later proceeded to the University of Lagos where he received a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Mass Communication.

Many did not know that the Nigerian dramatist, Television presenter, director and Filmmaker has at a point in time featured in the popular Village Head Master, when he accidentally started his acting career in 1976, when he ran into the cast of the rested village headmaster at a rehearsal at the National Theatre Iganmu Lagos, Nigeria.

Interestingly, the Ogun State born talented broadcaster and actor, was appointed as a Special Adviser on Communication and protocol matters by the former Ogun State governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel. Meanwhile many did not know that he was a back singer to popular juju music legend Chief Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi (MFR) Who's now an evangelist. He was said to have backed up for Obey in the early 70's. 

The 61 years old was widely popular for his television programme Aranbada before it was renamed to Gbarada, he was also the presenter for Ogbonge Panadol TV show back in 2000's

He has also featured in series of Nollywood movies such as Oleku where he acted as Ajani, a movie directed and produced by Tunde Kelani. Saworoide, Agogo Ewo, "Ti Oluwa Ni le" where he played the role of a lawyer. And many more.
