Sad! Remembering 5 Nollywood Comedians that we Still Miss

Adding spice, fun and laughter to movie scenes have a way of taking off stress and worries from Nigerians; and Nigerian comic actors have proven themselves up to the task. Nigeria have over the years produced comedians, who are so talented that they can make our stomach twist in nots because of laughter and who we can never forget.

Many of these powerful comedians are not alive again, some are still alive. But in this article we want to remember some great comedians of the past 30 years, who are not with us and we passionately miss them.

1. Sam Loco Efe

Sam Loco was a Nollywood actor and Comedians, who was specially skilled in creating fun and making people laugh with his comic actions. Sam Loco was known for his Savage remarks and unfiltered speech in most of his movies. He was a native of Enugu. He died on 7 August 2011, he was found dead in his hotel room after retiring the previous night. The cause of his death is still unknown.

2. Moses Olaiya Adejumo (Baba Sala)

Moses Olaiya Adejumo was a Nollywood actor and comedian. He is regarded as the Father of modern Nigerian comedy. He is no doubt specially skilled in making people laugh. He is a native of Ilesha, Ogun state. He died on October 7, 2018 out of what was said to be an old age sickness.

3. Peter Onwuzurike (Dede One Day)

Peter Onwuzurike was a Nollywood comedian and actor. He was one of the finest comedians in the Nollywood industry. He was specially skilled at making people laugh out loud. He is a native of Umuagwuru, Mbieri in Imo state, Nigeria. He died on 14 December 2015 out of complications of Hypertension.

4. Tajudeen Akanmu

Tajudeen Akanmu popularly known as Koledowo is a famous actor and comedian. He is known to put smiles on the faces of many Nigerians. He was indeed a talented actor that reigned from 1989 to 1992. He died in his Osogbo residence in 2002.

5. Lukuluku Bantashi

Lukuluku Bantashi is one of the finest Yoruba comedian of all time. He was very talented at making people laugh and feel happy, this is why we cannot forget the meritorious and unforgettable impact of Lukuluku in Yoruba comedy scene. Unfortunately, he died in 1995 leaving all his fans shocked.
