Popular Nollywood Actor, Chinwetalu Agu has claimed that he is wearing a civil dress and he was not campaigning for IPOB. Agu disclosed this at the 82 Division of the Nigeria Military base he was taken to after his arrest according to Sahara Reporters newspaper.
Recall that Chiwetalu Agu was arrested by soldiers yesterday. He has now countered the claims of campaigning for proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra and Eastern Security Network before being arrested by soldiers at Upper Iweka in Anambra state.
In a statement released by Onyema Nwachukwu, Director Army Public Relations, Agu was picked up in Anambra state for allegedly soliciting support for IPOB members.
Chiwetalu Agu is a veteran Nigerian actor, comedian and movie producer who won the 2012 Nollywood award for best actor in indigenous movie. Agu is married to Nkechi and has three sons and two daughters. He was born in 1956. He is from Enugu State, Nigeria.
