Rich Dad Poor Dad is a 1997 book written by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter. It advocates the importance of Financial literacy, financial independence and building wealth through investing in assets, real estate investing, stating and owing businesses, as well as increasing one’s financial intelligence (financial IQ) to improve one’s business and financial aptitude. The titular “rich dad” is his friend’s father who accumulated wealth due to entrepreneurship and savvy investing, while the “poor dad” is claimed to be Kiyosaki’s own father who he says worked hard all his life but never obtained financial security.

Robert Kiyosaki was born on the April 8th, 1947 is an American businessman and author. Kiyosaki is the founder of Rich Global LLC and the Rich Dad Company, a private financial education company that provides personal finance and business education to people through books and videos. The company’s main revenues come from franchisees of the Rich Dad seminars that are conducted by independent individuals using Kiyosaki’s brand name for a fee.
Kiyosaki is the author of more than 26 books, including the international self-published personal finance Rich Dad Poor Dad series of books which has been translated into 51 languages and sold over 41 million copies worldwide.
Sharon Lechter was born on the January 12th, 1954 is an American accountant, author, and businesswoman. She is the co-author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, and the founder and CEO of Pay Your Family First, a financial education organization.
In 1997, Lechter co-authored the book Rich Dad Poor Dad, along with 14 other books in the Rich Dad series, and was CEO of the Rich Dad Company for over 10years.
These two people have changed the mentality of many, concerning financial status.
