Nigerian ace singer, Burnaboy has called himself a 'Gorilla' in a bid to explain why he beats his chest in confidence while stating that people shouldn't misunderstand it for pride.
The Grammy award winner took to his official Instagram page to correct the misconception of fans who see him as a proud person stating that the reason why he beats his chest is because he is a Gorilla. He used the animal as an imagery to explain that he exudes confidence which shouldn't be misunderstood as pride.
In his words:
“If I dey beat my chest, no misunderstand/ No be Pride, I be GORILLA.”
Burna boy's statement has started a lot of conversations on micro-blogging website, Twitter as fans have taken to the platform to disagree with him. While many believe the two-time nominee and one-time winner of the Grammys is a proud person, others are of the opinion that he deserves and has earned his bragging right.
